Oakland Raiders star Derek Carr will miss Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans because of severe weather, a league source told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport on Monday.
Carr, who is in the midst of a four-game suspension, is expected to miss Sunday at New England, a source told RapopORT.
Carr’s injury comes as the Raiders have struggled to build momentum in the past two weeks, with two straight losses.
Carr has thrown five interceptions in two games, while Houston has won two straight games and the Raiders are tied for second in the NFL in total yards.
The Raiders are 3-1 on the season.
Carr is averaging a career-low 4.7 yards per attempt, though he’s thrown four touchdowns and no interceptions.
The Houston Texans are 4-1.
Carr started the last five games.
Oakland’s last two losses have come against Seattle and Tennessee, and the club has lost five of its last six games.
The team has played six straight home games and will play two home games at the Superdome against the New England Patriots.
