With the recent earthquakes in Miami, Miami-Dade County has come up with a new wearable to help citizens stay safe during the event.
The Miami Herald reported that the company, Miami Energy, announced its latest earthquake-resistant smartwatch on Wednesday, which will be available in October for $149.99.
It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, which boasts a powerful 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and 512MB of RAM, along with a 3,000mAh battery.
The watch also includes an accelerometer, proximity sensor, barometer, barometric pressure sensor, GPS, and gyroscope.
As of press time, the watch was listed on the Miami Energy website.
It comes with a two-year warranty, which is the company’s standard, though it doesn’t specify the warranty period.
The company said it will release the watch in November, and will be made available to retailers, but the device won’t ship until November.
While smartwares that feature a heart rate monitor or heart rate sensor are fairly common, the heart rate monitoring features on the new Miami Energy watch are different.
According to the company website, the company was originally planning to launch the heart-rate monitoring features for a smartwatch in November but changed the plans due to the magnitude of the events in Miami.
As for the watch itself, it has a circular shape and is powered by an Intel Atom Z2650 SoC.
It has an IP67 waterproof rating and is water-resistant to 100 meters.
The smartwatch is a smart wearable that works by monitoring and recording a wearer’s heart rate and heart rate variability.
It will track your heart rate, and if it reaches a certain level, the display will let you know when your heart is at a certain point, so you can adjust the watch to see what’s happening in real time.
