The Los Angeles Times, which has been reporting that Santa Barbara is experiencing an earthquake, has now reported that the earthquake has been classified as a 2,000-foot magnitude earthquake.
The paper has also reported that Santa Cruz County officials have issued a magnitude 4.1, the highest possible in California.
A magnitude 3.9 earthquake is also expected to strike the Santa Barbara area tomorrow.
A magnitude 2.3 quake occurred in San Diego County late last week, according to the National Weather Service.
No injuries were reported.
